Tholu Bommalata is an ancient art form of shadow puppet theatre with origins dating back to 2000 years. The traditional process of crafting shadow puppets requires 30-40 days, from the procurement of leather to the completion of the product. We have taken this craft and brought it to you in a portable lampshade design that will adorn your house.

The lamp shades are made on leather that is stretched over the metal frames. The handmade paintings are using natural inks and dyes. The leather is perforated along the painting to create a beautiful effect on the wall when it is lit. It’s a wonderful way to make your room bright and welcoming, perfect for adding warmth to your home.
